Here is a story about a typical Middle American girl, at least in image and actions anyway, who may have positively influenced the lives of thousands more American women and others from around the world.
I am not one who normally and readily talks about other women, mainly because I truly don’t have much interest in their lives and don’t conform to the allegedly necessary convention of our innate (female) human condition to gossip readily about others. Because many of you have chosen to follow these, most of you are privy to the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Or so you thought. Now, I was giving this some thought since yesterday evening after learning that forty-year old superstar Leonardo Di Caprio had won yet another award for his apparently astounding performance in the multi-award winning (so far) film The Revenant. I mention Mr. Di Caprio in this instance because I was recently caught up in an interview he gave to a glossy women’s magazine journalist. I am also the proud mother of a sparkling and darling young lady who is taking herself to places that I dared not imagine when I was her age. I never specifically told you that I was single. Ladies, and if there are gentlemen out there reading this, I never actually mentioned on my About Page what I do for a living. Initially, that much was intentional. Because the nature of this blog is wholly personal and deals in the main with the random thoughts and musings of an inherently independent and professional woman, doing well for herself in the superficial and exterior sense of the word. I generally keep my professional habits elsewhere in its more appropriate place.
